Whether it feels like you’re at a significant crisis point, seeking intensive outpatient therapy or need a kick start on your healing journey, intensives allow for concentrated time to heal and explore restoration in the wounded and aching parts of your soul.
Intensive counseling is structured specific to each individual’s goals, timeframe, and needs. It is one of the most effective and efficient options. Clients continually express the benefits of intensive work for long term healing.
We like to use the analogy of year-round school when we talk about intensives. When a child has 3 months off for summer break, often the first month back to school is review. In year-round school, there is much less back tracking, and rehashing.
The same is true with intensive counseling (which generally runs three hours a day for 5 or 10 days, depending on the need). We are able to dive in and work gently to a deeper place because the time is condensed. We get to be together for longer periods of time and lean into the places that have often haunted us for years.
Perhaps you’ve believed that if you really looked at ‘that thing’ you’d never fully come back from the pain of it, or that those who know you would be fearful of your changes. Perhaps you’ve believed you would become overwhelmed by ‘that thing’ or that there isn’t really any benefit from looking at the past. Additionally, if you are seeking intensive outpatient therapy or extended care after an inpatient clinical time.
Because we understand the fears and concerns, we walk you through your specific needs, and do everything we can to help create a safe, effective environment for something new to take place. You deserve a jump start.
No pressure, no expectation. We are glad to answer any questions you may have about intensive counseling or anything else on your mind.
